John Lovell – Chair Tirion’s Development Companies

John is our Technical Director and Chairs Tirion’s Development Companies. He is responsible for the design and delivery of our construction sites and incubating new projects. He was a founding member of Tirion.

During his 50 years experience in the industry, as a Director of Arup for 25 years, leading the design and project management of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. He led Arup’s European Building Sector for 8 years and it’s Wales division for 20 years. Developments created and delivered in Wales include – Wales Millenium Centre, The Senedd, Cardiff City Football stadium, and many other significant national projects.

He retired from Arup in 2012 to develop his own portfolio of projects and assist with the setting up of Tirion, including solutions for residential development on technically challenging brownfield sites. His current priorities include delivery of zero carbon homes.
