Tirion Homes Announces Leadership Transition

After 14 years at the head of affordable housing developer Tirion, I can announce that David Ward will be leaving at the end of May.

Tirion Homes award win at the Welsh Housing Awards

David played a pivotal role in the creation of Tirion and its innovative financing model as well as the delivery of over 1500 new homes on the award-winning developments at The Mill and Royal Victoria Court and on its latest development at Parc Eirin.

He has developed Tirion into a highly respected provider of affordable homes, with a reputation for high-quality, sustainable neighbourhoods focused on placemaking, long term stewardship and community cohesion. His contribution in addressing the housing crisis in Wales is recognised throughout the sector.

David is seeking a better work-life balance, but is also looking forward to helping other organisations find new ways of unlocking stalled housing projects using the experience and expertise he developed at Tirion.

Tirion, while completing the delivery of more affordable homes at Parc Eirin, Tonyrefail, will shift its focus primarily to property management and, in particular, to supporting its existing tenants.

On behalf of the Board and everyone at Tirion, I would like to thank David for his contribution, dedication and commitment, and we all wish him well in whatever he chooses to do next.
